About Heartfulness
The mission of Heartfulness is to facilitate an evolution of consciousness through a heart-centred lifestyle that fosters a peaceful and unifying vision of global community.
We support millions of people and over 5000 meditation centres in over 160 countries to achieve a more balanced, centred, and peaceful life through meditation, yoga, and other Heartfulness initiatives that support inner transformation and well being.
Awakening the Light Within
A dialogue with the inner consciousness
The victory of light over darkness is not limited to an external experience
It signifies a deeper, inner transformation. It is an enlightenment of the heart, the glow of a lamp which, once lit, never goes out.
When we deepen the connection with the heart, we can instantly strengthen the glow of that light, cultivating greater harmony and balance within ourselves and influencing the way we can relate to our communities and the world around us.
The festive season encourages us to adopt a spiritual reflection of our existence; of overcoming the forces that create fear, confusion, anger and self-doubt, and awakening the courage, compassion and clarity that help us live more fully. When we choose this approach, we can collectively build a more harmonious and unified humanity.
This is an invitation to explore that journey together, through the shared experience of Heartfulness meditation.
We warmly welcome the broader London community to join us on Saturday, 17th October for Awakening the Light Within, a morning to explore how meditation can deepen the connection to that inner light of the heart; to create connections through the power of meditation and music; and an opportunity to learn directly from Daaji, the Global Guide of Heartfulness.
During the event, Heartfulness will also announce the launch of a special sustainability project and how the London community can be involved.

Meet Daaji
Heartfulness UK delightfully welcomes Daaji, Global Guide of Heartfulness, back to London.
Kamlesh D. Patel, affectionately known as Daaji, is the global guide of the Heartfulness movement. Daaji is the fourth guide in a century-old lineage of spiritual masters. With decades of experience as a successful pharmacist in New York City, he weaves his professional understanding of science with a personal respect for global spiritual traditions, guiding millions of spiritual seekers worldwide in the practice of Heartfulness meditation.
Daaji is also an environmentalist, greatly invested in restoring native, endemic and endangered plant and animal species across India. Through his dedicated vision, Daaji has engineered the creation of Kanha Shanti Vanam, the world headquarters of Heartfulness, in Hyderabad, India. Once a barren landscape in the heart of the Deccan Plateau, Kanha Shanti Vanam is now a 1500-acre lush green oasis, a tranquil space for visitors to deepen their spiritual journey through simple living in tune with nature.
In 2023, Daaji was awarded the Padma Bhushan, one of the highest civilian awards of India for Distinguished Service of High Order in the field of spirituality. In March 2024, he was named the Commonwealth's Global Ambassador for Peacebuilding and Faith by the Commonwealth Secretariat. During his 2024 visit to London, Daaji was awarded the prestigious Freedom of the City of London.
